This month I helped at my first Wildlife Watch session, where we made willow Christmas decorations with the kids. On the same weekend was the BTO Annual Conference at Swanick, which was an incredibly interesting and informative weekend where I met some NGBs (Next Generation Birders) for the first time. The highlight of the conference for me was the Young Birders talk, and Kate Plummer's talk about speciation in Blackcaps that's happening as we speak.
This December I started BirdTrack-ing, with the intention to be a regular BirdTrack-er next year - it's one New Year's resolution I really want to stick to! Anyway, here is the list of all the notable wildlife I've seen in December 2014:
I also spent some time photographing the snow after Christmas with an 18-55mm lens, and these were the best results:
I hope you all had a great 2014, and I wish everyone all the best for next year!
