These past couple of days I have just been at home sorting stuff out and revising, but I spent quite a bit of time out in my garden, watching the Dunnock to-ing and fro-ing to its nest. Yesterday my family and I took an evening stroll around our local park as the weather was pleasant, and we heard plenty of young birds and saw a Nuthatch.
I have also started adding to my 30 Days Wild calendar with quick little sketches for each day, so here is what my calendar is looking like so far:
Tomorrow I'm heading down to RSPB Minsmere in Suffolk for 2 nights, because on Wednesday I am going to be interviewed on BBC Springwatch Extra on the BBC Red Button! I will be on the afternoon show, sometime between 4:30 and 5:30, and I'll be talking about engaging children and young people in wildlife in schools. You can watch the Extra show on the Red Button on the TV or online here, also, look out for me in the audience on Springwatch Unsprung on BBC 2 after the main program. I'm very nervous, but very excited!
I'm Sorrel, a young birder and wildlife artist based in the East Midlands - this is my blog all about my birding and wildlife adventures.
