This month I saw a total of 61 species, and brought my year list up to a fairly mediocre 80. February also gave me my second lifer of the year, in the form of Dartford Warblers, of which I saw 3 down in Hampshire with young birder Josie Hewitt (please see my previous blog post to find out about it). Not only did I see this charming little bird, but we had them in the hand too - a truly unforgettable experience! Needless to say that Dartford Warbler was my bird of the month!
Other notable wildlife from this month:
Now it's meteorological spring and I can't wait for the summer migrants to arrive!
