Friday was the day of my last GCSE exam, so for most of the day my mind was occupied with the thought of freedom, signalled by the "put your pens down" command at 2:30. On the way to my exam I heard a Green Woodpecker at school. I then went out for dinner to celebrate the end of exams with family, and we walked back in the pouring rain, which was oddly therapeutic, and it didn't bother me that my feet were soaked through!
The weekend was spent celebrating the start of my extra long summer holiday with friends, and the weather was pretty awful so I didn't spend as much time outside as I would've liked. I kept my eye out for the Peregrines in Nottingham city when I was out for lunch in town, but all I saw were the Feral Pigeons whirling around in the urban landscape. I also used the weekend to catchup on some blog post writing from the week.
I'm Sorrel, a young birder, wildlife photographer and artist based in the East Midlands - this is my blog all about my birding and wildlife adventures.
