I'm Sorrel, a young birder, wildlife artist and photographer.
My aim is to share my love of wildlife with other young people, and open their eyes to the wonders of the natural world, both in my school and in my local community. I'm based in the East Midlands, but I often travel around Britain in search of wildlife, and occasionally further afield. Please see my blog to find out about my latest adventures!
Wildlife art is a huge passion of mine, I love to work in watercolour and pencil. If you are interested in a commission, please get in touch. Here are a couple of my most recent pieces, but please see my artwork page for more.
Here are my thoughts on how to make nature a much larger part of every young person's life - a blog for The Wildlife Trusts' Every Child Wild campaign:
Clean the Leen
'Clean the Leen' is a local project to remove litter from the River Leen that runs through Bulwell, Nottingham. In July 2015, a former teacher and I started the project, and removed a staggering amount of litter from this important river in just a couple of hours. My role is to document our progress and the wildlife that we see through photography, contribute to our blog, and of course help with the litter removal. Here is our blog:
